Sharjah Cricket Stadium hosted the 7th Match of Pepsi IPL 7 2014. The match was played between Rajasthan Royals RR vs Kings XI Punjab KXIP.
George Bailey captain of Kings XI Punjab KXIP won the toss and elected to field first on a good batting pitch. With the help of top order specially Sanju Samson and Watson Rajasthan Royal (RR) managed to reach 191 for 5 wickets in their quota of 20 overs.
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) had a uphill task to hunt down Rajasthan Royal (RR). Kings XI Punjab had a bad start as Opener Sehwag and other top order batsman Saha got out cheaply. It was looking that Rajasthan Royal (RR) has this match in their bag, but then came in Maxwell who just clobbered Rajasthan Royal (RR) bowlers to all parts of the ground to score 89 quick runs in just 54 balls. By the time Maxwell was out the match has shifted in the favor of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and whatever runs were left was scored by David miller and George Bailey.
